We understand that getting help for an eating disorder and/or addiction can be a huge financial burden. For this reason, Hull House Real Recovery has created a scholarship fund designed to provide financial support to members of our community who are in need of HHRR’s services but cannot access them due to financial barriers.
Hull House Real Recovery is a proud member of The Healers Circle, a network of eating disorder support programs that provide free or reduced price care to select Project Heal beneficiaries each year.
To determine one’s qualification for the Em Upton Scholarship, Project HEAL has designed an application which makes determinations for reduced service fees on a case by case basis. These determinations are based upon financial limitations, insurance barriers if applicable, clinical appropriateness, motivation and readiness for support, and barriers related to identity.
Please note that this is a rigorous application process and eligibility for the scholarship funds is not guaranteed.

2. Once the application has been filled out and submitted, please email scholarship@theprojectheal.org with your full name and a brief message informing us that you have submitted an application for Hull House Real Recovery’s Em Upton Scholarship.
3. Wait for your application to be reviewed. Applications will be reviewed in accordance with our monthly review cycle, which happens the first week of every month. Once reviews are completed, we will notify you on your application status and what the next steps are.
